Shipping Rules & Policies
A physical street address is required for all shipping orders. Wood & Paint does not ship to P.O. boxes or freight forwarding addresses.
Additional fees may apply to packages being shipped outside the 48 contiguous United States.
Note: An Oversized Item Fee will be added to shipping costs for large or heavy items that require the help of additional delivery professionals to ensure the most careful, efficient delivery experience possible.
Types of Delivery
Within the 48 contiguous United States Wood & Paint offers:
- Ground Shipping (US Postal Service, UPS or FedEx)
- Residential Curbside (Freight/Truck)
- White Glove In-Home Delivery (Professional Crew – 2 man team)

If the shipping address provided at checkout needs to be changed for any reason after the item(s) has shipped (whether Ground, Residential Curbside Delivery or White Glove Delivery), re-routing fees and/or administration fees to which the customer will be responsible for said fees.
US Ground Shipping
Standard Ground Shipping is used for small to medium-size packages considered ready to assemble (RTA). It includes delivery to your doorstep by FedEx, UPS or US Postal Service.
Shipping charges are based on the dollar amount of your total purchase. The rates below apply to standard ground shipping via courier services (ex. FedEx, UPS, or USPS) in the continental United States. Certain products such as dressers, bookcases and desks cannot be shipped by ground.
Approximate transit times vary depending upon delivery location and the size of the item purchased. Most RTA items ship within 5-10 business days anywhere in the continental US.
Wood & Paint cannot be held responsible for changes or cancellations in delivery dates once the freight has been released from our warehouse. Please keep in mind that estimated lead times do not include holidays and/or weekends.
Many Wood & Paint bookcases and furniture is shipped fully assembled. These items are much larger and heavier than ready to assemble (RTA) furniture which ships in a flat box and require freight shipment.
Residential Curbside Delivery (freight shipping) means your merchandise will be delivered to you by a truck with a one or two-man driver/delivery team. The driver and delivery team will not place the item in your home or remove any packaging.
Our shipping carriers will contact you in advance and set a time window during regular business hours for the delivery to arrive.
Please contact us if there are any issues the delivery driver needs to know about like a high incline to your destination, an unpaved or long narrow driveway or any other known issues that may prevent or affect the delivery with a large freight truck. White Glove Delivery
Many of our larger bookcases require freight shipping. White Glove delivery includes placing your furniture inside your home in the room and place of your choice. White Glove is the gold standard for those who appreciate the ease of a professional helping hand.
White glove delivery includes unboxing, packaging removal, and limited item setup. are included as well.
Standard freight services do not include in-home delivery or placement. Standard freight is considered a curbside delivery.
White Glove Delivery requires the following:
- The street of access be at least 10 feet wide
- The street overhead clearance is at least 14 feet
- A street with no vehicle weight restrictions
- Stairways, doorways, hallways & turns be at least 36 in. wide
- A limit of two flights of stairs, up to 15 steps each
- Any existing furniture be moved by the delivery recipient
Delivery conditions outside of the above guidelines and those including, but not limited to, things such as sharp turns, narrow or gravel driveways, and gated communities or condominiums require additional handing services and fees.

You may return most eligible return items for up to 15 days from the date of delivery. To determine whether a product is eligible for return, sign in to your Wood & Paint account and look up your order.
You will see a Return link next to each of your orders. Click that link and all items will be listed, along with their return eligibility. From there you can start the return process and obtain a return merchandise authorization (RMA) that you can print and include in your return packaging.
Open box clearance items are final and cannot be returned.
Please note that depending on the reason for your returning an item, you may be responsible for return shipping costs and a and a 25% restocking fee. Shipping is not refundable on items returned due to a customer preference or change of mind.
Products should be returned in their original packaging as much as possible. Outside the box, write your RMA number and your return address. Inside, include your printed RMA slip and/or contact information, order number, and reason for return. We recommend you choose a shipping method that is trackable.
Once we receive your package, we will credit the amount of the item to the original method of payment. If the item was purchased with a gift certificate or as a gift, you’ll be issued an in-store credit for the amount of the item.
